Approximently 20 years ago, a friend of mine used to play this comedy tape. How old the tape was, I don't know. On this tape was a histarically funny story mixed in with a little music. The story I believe was irish and it was about a bad day at the construction site. Something about falling off a tower os something, then being piled on with concrete, bricks, whatever. The whole song was about this one guy that had nothing but bad times at this construction site. I will personally reward anyone if you're the first to help me on this. Again, this was a comedy tape. One disaster after another. Thank you all!

I've been told the it was scottish, not irish. But I don't know. I remember on this tape another story that was not as funny but it had something to do with someone swinging on a chandaleer peeing on the audience,,,something like that

I know the song as "Dear Boss," which is how the Clancey Brothers recorded it.

The song is a letter to his boss explaining why he isn't at work today.

It sounds like the Bricklayer's story which they used to play on WCLV (radio station in Cleveland). Maybe you could contact them, specifically Robert Conrad, whose show it was frequently on. No music though, as I recall. It was an English guy telling the story. www.wclv.com
