Most Liberals (Progressives, Democrats, whatever) like that she is combative. Bush clearly pushes the neocon/religious right adgenda and Pelosi fights just as hard for the liberals. Most liberals view their party as not not fighting as hard in the past, so Pelosi (and by the same token, Dean) is a refreshing change.

Pelosi brings Bush to task for his rhetoric about Iraq. The reason for being there seems to change like the seasons. Today we're there fighting terrorism. But we still do not have 100 percent screening at our ports, we still do not have a mandate for chemical and nuclear plants to safeguard them/ Our ports are not secure, our borders are not secure, and our country is at risk. We could be safer. But hey, we're in Iraq .

They like that she represents an alternative to Bush fascism, or so they think. They are wrong she is as bad just in a different way, a yin to the yang, just another representative of the business ruling party.
