I've been doing ballet for quite some time now, and I don't feel as if I'm becoming more flexible, and I'd really like to start in on the "exercises on the floor", but I'm not flexible enough.
It's really disturbing when all the other girls are doing splits and I can only manage half. Are there any good exercises to aid this certain situation?

all u need to do is stretch any time u get a chance, like when watching tv, and in the morning and before bed and before and after any physical exercise. if u do in about to weeks u will see notice yourself becoming more flexible. also a little weight training would help

Maybe do some yoga, but if you cant, then i suggest that you should do all the stretches you know and hold all of them for like 30 seconds twice a day. Like if you cant do the splits, go as far as you can and hold it for 30 secons, and eventually you will get farther with maybe a bit of pain but not as much.
