You can do it. Just imagine what your life would be like if I were a magical being and cast a spell on you right now that you could not laugh, could never watch a funny movie or a TV show, were never able to see the humor in an embarrassing situation or in something that was otherwise pretty sad. What would you feel like? How long could you stand that? What would it be like for all the people around you? Would anyone even want to be around you? Why not?
Now imagine everyone in the world had the same spell cast on them. Nothing funny even existed. No jokes. Nothing to make you smile, really. What kind of a world would that be? Would you even want to live like that? Why not?
If you can imagine these things and write down your feelings about them, you'll have your speech. Heck, you can probably even do 10 minutes! One minute will be easy. Good luck.

To me it implies that without humor or comedy, life would next to impossible to survive because there would be no pleasure. Can you imagine going through life never finding anything funny? Never smiling or laughing or giggling? That wouldn't be very nice or bearable at all. That's what I think anyway. Humor or comedy is necessary to survive life's everyday trials and tribulations. We must have an escape from seriousness and negative feelings such as anger, sorrow, fear, or sadness. In ancient Greek theatre, this was the beginning purpose of Comedic productions. Basically we cannot take life too seriously due to the fact that it is merely a temporary lay over that ends with our demise. Life being such, it is fruitless to think that anything we do or say becomes permanent and therefore we must view all of life with a sense of humor as life humors us. Therefore if we remove the humor aspect of life then life itself becomes impossible to live due to the fact that if one cannot take life seriously then the only other form of living would have to be that form of life that we don't take seriously. Literally with this in mind we should pursue life with a grain of salt for all of it including the mountains and the sea and all that appears to be alive or dead is temporary. Laugh laugh laugh for life is but a joke and as the song goes 'Row row row your boat gently down the stream, merrily merrily merrily "Life is but a dream".

PS: Talk slow it takes longer.

That basically reffers to some people's inability to see humor in everyday life. Say someone makes a witty metaphor. If you lacked humor, you would take the statement litterally and not find it very funny at all.

well to break down the term the word render means to make 'provide' 'cause to be'. So in other words life would be impossible without humour- without humour in one's life it would be depressing because humour helps you to see the world in a better light- humour helps ease the tension and stresses of daily life by smiling and laughing we realease endorphines which make you feel good about things. One can not go through life without humour, it's a vital emotion in one's life without out it life would be too serious all the time

Humor allows us to deal with life's hardships. We have all heard of gallows humor or of the "sick" humor of people who deal with death. Coroners, fireman, and soldiers in combat have been known to make jokes to help deal with the stress. It is human nature to want to see the lighter side of darkness. When my wife left me I had a friend who would tell me divorce jokes. It was tough, but I had to keep my sense of humor or incur his wrath. When it was his turn I returned the favor! While humor helps us get through the day to day, it really helps when it comes to the more dire aspects of life.

My interpertation:

Life is funny by its very nature. If you take the funny out of everything, all you're left with is primordial ooze (which can be pretty funny in its own right)
