ok. I got a job offer, but they only have orientation on certain days at certain times. I told the company that I have school during that time, and she says that this seldomly happens, and she will have to see what to do regarding when I could come in for the orientation. I had asked her if they would call me when she found out, and she said yes. It's been almost a week and no call. I'm running low on money, and the time of paying bills are coming up. I don't know if I should call her and ask her if she has heard anything or not. I don't want to sound too pushy by calling them, but if I don't start work soon, then i'll have to take out a loan to help me pay my bills that are coming up, which I don't want to do. That's why I am so stressful regarding this. What should I do? Should I call? Should I skip classes just to go to the orientation?

Definately call rather than wait around for a call that may never come. In the meanwhile, don't stop the job search. You may have to wait a week or two but get the perfect job offer in the meanwhile. It's not like you are calling twice a day. They owe it to you to free you to pursue another avenue. What you can do is say something, "I was very impressed with the company and I know that I can do the job. Have you heard anything about another orientation coming up?" Be professional but inflict a little personality. After all, getting a new job is exciting. If you would only miss one class for this orientation, be flexible. That will show them that work in your priority. They may think if you cannot make the orientation, how on earth will you be able to make it to work??? Reassure them!!!

There is a great business opportunity for you if you are willing to install and look after a DROP-BOX, either in your home or in your work-place, or even a virtual one on the Net, into which people seeking relief from Stress in daily life / any type of Emotional problems / some Chronic disease, would drop their questions to get information about tailor-made herbal solutions.
You would have to advertise in your community that you have such a drop box.
The questions are processed by highly skilled professionals in India, who have a vast expertise in this field.
You can install as many drop boxes as you wish.
Since stress and emotional disorders are so common in daily life, you can well imagine the vast potential this business has and the returns you could get from it.

Look at it this way:

You need a job to get money, because you're running out of money. You need money to pay the bills, which are rapidly approaching. If you don't pay your bills, the SHTF. You don't want to take out a loan to get money to pay the bills, though.

Skip class and go to orientation. You can make up schoolwork easier than you can make money magically appear from nowhere.

Try going to a temp agency in the meantime. I always had luck with them.
