Make no mistake about this.....in any class action lawsuit against any company or corporation with deep pockets, the lawyers will always fair FAR, FAR BETTER than the people concerned who actually suffered the loses. The lawyers take their absorbinent fees right off the top of the settlement and the remainder is split up in so many pieces that each individual involved (provided they all filled out all of the proper forms and dotted all of the I's and crossed all of the T's) will receive a pittance for their actual loses.

It's a win, win for the lawyers. Aren't you glad that they're looking out for us? Kind of like the fox guarding the hen house, you think?

Attorneys in a class action suit may work hourly or on contingency.

Contingency only applies if there is a cash payout at the end, which is getting less common in many class action suits. And remember that contingency means the lawyers don't get paid at all if the case doesn't result in any cash payout.

Like all lawsuits, the lawyers get the lions share of the payout, and the victim gets peanuts.
