The longest i ever saw was hit by of all people, Juan Encarnacion in yankee stadium when he was still with the tigers. He hit it off of Ramiro Mendoza. The ball cleared the monuments, AND cleared the bullpens and that empty space behind the bullpens and landed in the Left Center bleachers!!! I had never EVER seen a ball hit, and still havent, that landed in the left center bleachers...it had to be 500 ft!! When the ball came down there was just this collective *gasp* in the stadium.

I know I'm dating myself on this one and it didn't happen in a major league park. It happened in the early 50s in Guelph, Ontario and the player was one Pat Seerey........he on the downside of his career after hitting 4 home runs in one game for the Chisox I believe in approx. 1948. Pat played for the Guelph Merchants (Sr. Intercounty League)and was then known as "Fat" Pat because he had quite the gut on him. The left field fence was about 320 down the line. Pat hit one which not only cleared the fence at Exhibition Park, but cleared a higher one yards behind, over the street and landed on Victory School's front yard. Maybe I was just an impressionable 10 or 12 year old, but it still remains the longest in my memory. Thanks for asking. It brings back many fond memories of early baseball times for me.

Probably Thurman Munson in the 1978 ALCS ( I actually think we just called it The Playoffs back then) against K.C. at Yankee Stadium. It was game 3 and the Yankees were down by a run in the 8th inning. He hit it into the area between the bullpens in deep left center, 2 run homer.

Manny hit it in the highest deck of bleachers in the Skydome. Wily Mo literally left the park in Kaufman Stadium. Ted Williams hit one in the like 20th row behind the bullpen. Any of those good?

OK, I may beat every single persons answer here. I have two monster homeruns that I have witninced, both by Manny Rameriz. One is the famous blast he had in 2005 in which he CLEARED, as in hit it over, the light towers at Fenway Park and it landed in the highway. It was estimated at 545.
Another Manny blast I witninced was at the Sky Dome in Toronto. He hit it onto the tarp that was over the seats!! Estimated length of this one: 536 feet!!

Joe Borchard for the Whitesox 2 years ago at US Cellular field. Hit a BOMB 504 ft to right center. It landed up on the concourse area out there. That is a BOMB to get it up there.

if you mean in person, it was George Foster for the Mets, it cleared the bullpens and hit a car in the parkimng lot...if you mean on TV I would say either Strawberry at the Astrodome or Cecil Fielder when he hit it out of Tiger Stadium
