You go to the Clerk of County Court and they have the necessary papers for you to file. Take along all information pertaining to bills, etc. Also your receipts for any materials you have used, and copies of invoices you have sent the homeowner. Do this right away because in some States, they do have a maximum amount of time for you to file your lien.
