That,s why I look for real attraction based on genuine honest emotions, not some mating game ritual that becomes a political power game. If the attraction is real on both sides, there.s never any reason to play around doing the feather dance. I am not a mind reader and I can only go along with whatever attitude is displayed, so I tend to reign in immediately if I get any negative response -I am not expecting an easy ride but I sincerely believe a woman has the right to choose and should be refined and polite enough to consider my feelings as well. Not all men are armour-plated Lothario fuelled by challenges or a need to conquer or a desire for quick thrills at any cost.

not all men lose interest at that point. there's a small percentage of men who do lose interest the moment the woman starts to show interest, but these are shallow men, immature, selfish, who only see a woman as a pray and who have no idea how good it feels to actually have a relationship with a woman. the men who are really capable of deeper and more mature feelings are happy to see that the woman they like also likes them back.... and it's only natural it should be that way. if i, as a men, meet a woman that i find great, and she happens to think I'm great too, i can only be happy about it and consider myself very lucky....

That should read SOME men, not all, immature guys on the thrill road might, the thrill of the chase and all, but if you can hold a guys interest in other ways, it wont happen, never, ever, be a doormat, always remain slightly aloof, never let them get too sure of you, while at the same time, shower them with all you've got, doesnt work all the time with all guys, but being clingy or worshipping them spells death.

This is because men who are commitment shy can be insecure underneath it, and crave attention. A woman who wants commitment badly will often allow him to get away with murder and forgive him more than a woman who is more interested in a casual relationship or is perhaps is more confidant and less likely to settle for being treated in a way she does not like. The man will get the security of sex when they want it and attention when they want it with somebody more clingy, and they can do it on their terms.

when the object of their affection gets too attached and wanting of emotional feedback this type of man will shun her, he will keep doing it until she retreats becomes sad and withdrawn. Then when this happens he knows it's "safe" to go back. Then the push/pull cycle starts again.

It is a form of - co-dependence, and not a very healthy dynamic for any romantic relationship, it can even become extreme and lead to or worsen any abuse taking place.
