Why is it people read a message (question) on here and respond to it if they have nothing to say about it directly?
I was writing a story idea i had for a book series and it was kind of long. So some asshole decided that he thought all i was doing was telling the idea (no question) so he complains and reports it. if he had read to the end it was a question.

Obviously he didn't read the question through to the end. I think you should read the question before you reply, unless you reply specifically to one part of it. Even in that case, you have no business reporting it on those grounds.

You answered your own question. The person was acting like an a**hole and doing what a**holes do, which is annoy people. Just ignore it and move on.
