the answer will be determined by yahoo answers to see whether or not it is a form of abuse. if it is, then yahoo answers will notify the answerer of it, and they're answer will be deleted, as well as some points.

looking at your question, no offense, whoever pretended to be michael jackson was probably just kidding around. u shouldnt be so hard on him/her, because its rare that someone reports anyone for impersonating celebrities, and its not really a big of a deal

As long as he is not trying to sell something on the pretense of being Michael Jackson, who cares what he calls himself or if he is really gullable enough to think that anyone would believe that he really is M.J . People call themselves many different names on here. (i.e) Princess, bounty hunter, romeo. what does it matter? I know i'm not really talking to a princess, even if she insists that she is, so what. I don't think anyone is going to get into serious trouble for messing around with people on the internet saying they're someone that they're not. I think it's rather childish... "I'm Michael Jackson".."No you're not".. "Yes I am".. "No you're not" "Yes I am".. and then report it. Who gives a rat's a#s.

I think if you impersonate someone in order to financially gain from it, then the law steps in. Its called 'fraud' I believe, & its illegal. If someone on the internet says they are a famous star & they are not, for ego reasons say, then its not considered illegal, just maybe immature or silly. If saying your a star & you were not on the net was illegal, then 'myspace' would be in BIG trouble!

He will get an email if Yahoo thinks you have a legitimate complaint. The person you reported will not know who reported him. Good for you.

Nothing. They'll send a couple guys over to the guys' house measuring four feet across each in suits, no ties, sunglasses to hide the one eyebrow. Body parts, noise, a lot of " No! Oh please! " This sort of thing. Then it'll probably get real quiet, they'll close the door behind them as they leave and that'll be that. Why?

it's a joke - just like most of the "justice system." there's WAY too much leeway out there and you probably have WAY too little power. - and money - to pursue it. let it go. it's cheaper.
