It was a PBS special. Planes were grounded in Canada on the Atlantic and the Pacific. The story tells how the villagers on both sides of the country (Canada) helped the stranded passangers. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the DVD/Video? I don't know the name. I've tried a basic search on PBS.Org and Amazon.
Thanks!

I realize I mentioned Gander, New Foundland. I also believe the movie covered the planes and passengers in Halifax and in British Columbia as well. What I really need is the name of the movie!

I remember seeing the same movie, too. I don't know the name, either. Have you tried e-mailing PBS? Maybe someone there knows the name of the movie and can let you know if it's available for purchase. Not all programs shown on PBS are available on DVD or Video.

Good luck.

Many more planes were grounded in Halifax than Gander
