IF he retires..
Lauda did, so did Mansell, and Prost. Hakkinen almost did. Even Jacques Villeneuve managed to...

I doubt he would return. F1 is really a sport for young pilots already...It will be a great loss for F1 though - after breaking all records Schumi has proven to be the best pilot of all times (at least my personal favourite :) ). A pilot AND an engineer because with his help Ferrari became what they are now.

If he can make it as Lauda and Prost, he is true worldchampion (although nowadays cars really play major part)...

I dont think he want to do another Villeneuve.....

I don't know if he wants to be like Jacques. I think his Mrs. wants him home. Mansell when to CART when it was in its heyday, I doubt Shumi has much interest in ChampCar/IRL. F1 is really a young man's game now, Shumi will probably get any racing fix he needs in GT.

If he retires (and I'm still wavering on this one), I don't think he'll ever make a comeback; he lives in Switzerland and I'll go out on a limb and say he'll join the Swiss navy and, perhaps advance to the rank of Admiral. :-D

Well... I dearly hope he won't.
I hope that once he retires, he never goes racing in F1 again.

Maybe in other championships, but not in F1. Let him do what Hakkinen did.
