I am against abortion (but pro-choice). I am against cohabitation (of my sister and her kids). I am against promiscuity (of my daughter). None of these would I criminalize because there is a difference between being moral and being self-righteous. I am tired of being told I am going to hell because I am liberal and choose not to judge others.

Democrats are conservative about somethings and liberal about others. We are conservative about spending the taxpayers money and liberal with the truth. Welfare is not free, it must be earned with work ... WPA & CCC. The people are the most important thing to democrats, not the oil companies. The strength of any nation is with its people. Education, health, and work are the foundatiions of a productive society. All people in our society are slaves to the government and big business. If any party is all conservative or all liberal, that would be all bad! The Bible is symbolic ... not literal. The stories are about a people being oppresed by a strong government that had high taxes. It must have been Republican.

We each interpret the Bible in our own way, so yes. I see Jesus as much kinder and gentler that other people seem to. I think he would be very understanding of all the things you talk about.

As far as religion in the public arena, what happened to the good, old-fashioned etiquette rule about not discussing religion or politics with random people?

Yes or no, it's thier choice. But don't be too quick to give credit to the bible for anything. Moral convictions were around long before the bible.

Yes. Are you suggesting that I'm promiscuous simply because I am a liberal? Shame on you, you don't even know me yet you can make ignorant assumptions about me just because I have different political beliefs. I'm sure God approves of your ignorant judgemental malevolence.

And I can spell too. It's a wonder, isn't it?

Well, the Bible says its is correct to have a marriage between a man and two women.

How does that figure in to your theory?

Jesus had nothing to do with politics. Didn't even recognize political leaders. Didn't even recognize leaders of the church for that matter. God wants nothing to do with our petty views on anything. Just admit you are a sinner, ask for forgiveness, and accept Jesus as your saviour. And in the meantime, try to help your fellow human beings out. Lots of people tend to skip that last step.

This partisan politics is destroying our country. Libs need to get their priorities straight (stop protecting illegal activities etc.)and the Conservatives need to stop playing the religion card.

Both need to grow up and learn we are sick of this fecal matter.

Guess it's all in your point of view. Mine is that bible literalists are lazy thinkers.

well, considering that the Bible bans abortion, homosexuality, premarital or extramarital sex, and allows only one religion, then no.
