My whole family saw it, hated it.
The beginning started out really good. Lots of special effects.
I thought the scene where the dog jumps on his back was REALLY FUNNY - and gross at the same time!
But the movie had an inside story. This was a man OBSESSED with "moving up the corporate ladder." It was NOT for the money, he did not want anyone else to do anything at the company BETTER than him. He wanted to do it all. All the boss had to do is tell him that someone else would do a job, and he would volunteer to do it.
So his family got further and further away from him.
Very sad scene; last time he saw his father.
Worse scene; how he dies.
Great, but then it made a "left turn" to awful land.

I'll admit it - I cried. I suppose its sad because it really kind of hits home in a way. In the movie he ends up fast fowarding through most of his life and then ends up dying without really having lived it. Most people can't wait to get older, just can't wait to get out of school, have kids, retire, etc. But do we ever think about all the things, good or bad, that we'd be missing out on if we could just skip this little bit here or there?

It's only a few parts in it that are sad. I have seen it in theater twice now and I will be in line to get it when it comes to DVD. It is a wonderful movie that has an awesome message. Definitely worth seeing!
