What is a good use for elements such as Li, K, Na, Sr, Ba, Ca, & Cu nitrates because of the colors they give off when burned?

those metals are used in fireworks, because when heated the electrons are excited to a different energy level and depending on the energy level achieved each unique orbital corresponds to a different COLOR depending on the energy and wavelength

Fireworks...they can be used to make fireworks. But please don't do that. It just doesn't seem safe.
