a belief that is accepted without questions, without examing the belief to see if it is worth believing.

I like the quote from Dogma, the movie. The black guy asks the last Zion if she believes in God, yet. The last Zion replies, no, but I have a good idea.

This refers to the idea that people will die for a belief, but they won't for an idea.

A blind belief is a belief based on pure ignorance. Unfortunately a lot of people's beliefs are of this sort, they let themselves be taken by the popularity of something, or just simply because they feel like it, and in the end they have no idea of what the principles or basics of which this/these beliefs are built upon. This is something that occurs a lot in religion, for example when someone is born in one family of a certain religion and they live their lives pertaining to be part of it without any basis as to what they say they belief. This is also seen often on stereotypes, which is where these are built upon. People see something general in one person and automatically associate it to everyone else with those characteristics, and a stereotype is born, without realizing that every individual is that, an individual, with their own way of being separate of the mass public.

All belief is definitively blind. Only direct experience is true. Belief is a concept, thus it is not truth.

"The sun will rise tomorrow" is a very broad example...

Just because it has risen every day for our entire life does not mean that it will tomorrow.

A more acute version would be "God is on my side" or "all other religions are wrong".
