I am really sad. I didn't know Steve personally but he helped a lot of people to be closer to the animals he loved. He was a true Wildlife Warrior and educator and he will never be forgotten. He loved his family and the animals and he could make the viewers feel his enthusiasm for wildlife over the TV.
It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. Your loved one will always be close as a memory and in your heart.

With Heartfelt Sympathy to Terri, Bindi, Bob and the rest of his family and his friends

May the Croc Hunter Rest In Peace

Come on folks!! Irwin was definitely a nice guy, but he had an incredibly dangerous lifestyle. The only thing surprising about his death was that it came from a sting ray rather than a croc or snake. You can be devastated when a CPA gets hit by a meteor or a school teacher gets killed when a volcano erupts in the teachers' lounge. Those are surprising deaths. Irwin's was not...but may he rest in peace.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Yes it seems very unfair that he had to die. We don't have enough people to protect animals and we did'nt need to loose Steve.
