If , while in space, you spueze a fart out in the shuttle . would it ever go away ?

it would go into the air system, and get recycled. The molecules themselves would not go away, however you would not smell it.

To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Even if an astronaut were to squeeze one out the other astronauts would know, cos he'd be the one doing mach one across the flight deck, jet propelled no less. Best stick to doing donuts in the cargo bay...... whoa there goes Neil again.

Yes. Think about it. If there were no air circulation, they would all die within a few minutes from carbon dioxide poisoning. Every space vessel must have facilies to produce clean air, clean spent air, and to circulate the air.

I guess it would plaque them until they came back to earth.
No pinto beans should EVER be eaten in the shuttle.

omg I love this q. probably not, as you cant just open a window. i wonder if farting in space would propel you in any way? hee hee this definatley needs more research lol

I think Nasal fatigue still works in space. I would worry about the propulsion it would create.

The air filter would probably get rid of it.
I mean, they drink their own purified piss up there.
