I am a left-wing liberal (not sure about the wacko part or the head-up***) but anyway... I never claimed the war was only about a natural gas pipeline nor do I remember any of my friends being that single minded. Yes the "No Blood for Oil" motto makes a great bumper sticker but there is more depth to the liberal argument. Maybe you should do some research and open your mind to the possibility that other opinions have value.

Neither I nor any of my wacko friends think the war in Afghanistan was about getting the pipeline construction back up and running. It was to go after the people who attacked us. And I think it was a necessary invasion.

Ok, while I'm remembering about the conspiracy thing, why don't you pull your head out of your @ss and take a look around. Our country's democracy is slowly dissolving b/c all the f*cking left and right ever do is argue. No one works for a greater good. NO ONE. And as long as people hang on to this mentality of the left is out to ruin the right, or visa versa, nothing is going to happen to change this. The politicans are taking away our rights-Democrats and Republicans alike- and we're too busy b*tching amongst ourselves to even notice. I don't think that. We are/were in a war in Afghanistan to defeat Al-Qaeda and the regime that was in power in Afghanistan, the Taliban due them allowing Osama Bin Laden to hide in their country.
After 9/11 we went after the states that harbor the people who wish to attack the US. (Bin Laden)
Fighting in Afghanistan is not for oil or a natural gas pipeline.
