Either you don't remember having sex, or didn't remember the dates, even though you can have periods while pregnant.

You absolutely cannot get pregnant 6 weeks after having sex. However, you CAN have a period-like bleed after you become pregnant. If the last time you had unprotected sex was 12 weeks ago, that is when you got pregnant (well, possibly up to 5 days later, but not much more than that.) The fact that you bled just led you to believe that you weren't pregnant.

I had what seemed like a normal period every month from the time I was 5.6 weeks pregnant til 37 weeks when I delievered my daughter who is 4 y/o now. So you are probably about 12 weeks pregnant .... yup 3 months. Congrads

you may have been pregnant earlier and still got your periods,it s unlikely but possible ,if you haven had any sex at all ,then that's the answer but if you had sex with protection ,maybe the condom had a hole.you will find out when you have an ultrasound, the doctor will be able to tell how old the baby is.

Sperm can last up to five days in the best circumstances, but not 6 weeks. Most likely you are further along than you know it. Your last period could have been implantation bleeding (when the egg implants itself) or it could have just been spotting. Many pregnant women have what it appears to be a period throughout their whole pregnancy. Congratulations :)

totally possible.
did you have sex since? even with a condom? there could have been a hole in there somewhere.
sometimes when people get pregnant they have their periods normally. i cant explain this, however, it happenned to me.
what you need to do is go to a doctor to see exactly how old the fetus is, this will explain a lot more than anyone can explain on yahoo answers, because it totally dependson the circumstances

Wow, well I don't think thats possible. Did you have sex while you were on your period? Because having sex on your period still gives you the risk of getting pregnant.

Perhaps you had unprotected sex that time, but after that your "protection" broke. ripped condom? skipped a dose of birth control? I got pregnant on birth control, go figure. So I got my period anyway,,,,
have a beautiful love child to show for it tho...

It is possible to have your period while you are pregnant -- it's not common but it's not unheard of either. It's possible to have a pregnancy that surprises you.
