You know, I feel sad when i saw they made a remake of the original.

First they make a great classic.
Then in the mid 90's they made a great sequel

now there's a wannabe remake.

Why do they take so many classics and try to make us enjoy them

Because Hollywood execs are not creative enough or willing to take a risk on a new story. I totally agree, it's really annoying. I mean, did there REALLY need to be a Gilligan's Island movie or a Dukes of Hazzard? Seriously! Why isn't anyone willing to take a risk any more?

yep i agree with jojo. They do remakes for different generations. I grew up with where the red fern grows. When I was a kid they didn't have the movie yet. Just like the remakes of songs to target a new and different generation of people.

I don't know. It's stupid that they make remakes, because almost all of them are really bad compared to the original. But yet, there seems to be LOTS of remakes coming out in the past few years. I guess Hollywood is running out of ideas.

haha. the position the pink Fern Grows is about a hillbilly boy who grows up contained in the Ozarks collectively with his family individuals. He saves up funds and orders 2 pink Coon Hounds from the paper and receives them presented by technique of practice. they are pups, a brother and a sister. He does and is going everywhere with them or maybe enters the lady canine in a competition because the boy canine is so scruffy. He places butter on her to make her coat shine! haha. besides that's unhappy on the end because they wrestle a undergo or a wolf (can not keep in techniques) and the boy canine dies and then the lady. The boy cries

Someone out there usually thinks they can do better, or the origional is missing something for them. Some times they think the story needs to be retold to a new generation because it to good to be forgotten.
Sometimes they hope to strike on nestalgia. Remakes are hard to do and unfortunately they often fall short of our expectations.

Well, if I liked the movie....I do agree though. Some remakes are cute, but usually they just fall so short of the original movie.

Hollywood has lost its ability to do anything original. Maybe there is nothing left that is original.
They remake movies. They do old t.v. shows.
This is a question in itself. Is there anything new that Hollywood can do?

I used to watch that show all of the time, I loved it. I think I am going to go to my moms and watch it.

I am also really sick of stupid remakes and most of the time the new one really sucks.

they are trying to market it to the new generation. It wont ever be the same. what if they remade old yeller? It would be so distorted just think about it. Kids today have crossed a threshold that they cant ever go back over. (it is not their fault) times change.
btw: that movie and book- boo-hoo. :o(
