Singapore's progress is generally fuelled by a meritocratic system. There are many contributory factors to the high level of education in Singapore. Streaming or banding students according to their level of ability is one of the reasons that compels majority of students to stay focussed on their studies from young.

Singapore's government also does not stinge on training and constant upgrading of skills for teachers. This helps the teachers to constantly incorporate new teaching techniques into their lessons.

We also try to strike a balance between creativity and rote learning. That helps students register learning concepts properly yet apply them into case studies and real life situations.
