Try a reward system for good habits - if you exercise 3 days a week for a month then buy a special outfit, etc. If you repeat bad habits then how about a money jar (similar to a cussing jar) and then donate the money to charity...you're still repeating bad habits but at least someone benefits from it.

the flaw in your question is "easy", it is absolutely not easy, you just have to keep doing the the new good things, and stay out of the places where you used to do the things you are trying to stop. You may even need different friends
