VINs don't usually tell you EXACT features. They'll tell you where the vehicle was built, what manufacturer built it, how many doors, what it is, etc. The last 6 digits of GM VINs are there for no reason. If you want to know exact features, go to a dealer with the VIN, and the can usually print out a build sheet. Or call the manufacturer and ask for one. P.S. They usually cost money, and don't always come from the manufacturer, so they're not always accurate.

I work in a Toyota body shop and I know that our parts department can look up paint codes using only the VIN. This look-up system may not be available to the general public, but you could ask your local dealership to do it for you. The easiest way to find the paint code is to look for the sticker or plate that has the paint code listed. In Toyotas and Fords it will be on a sticker inside the driver's door, or on the A or B pillar on a sticker. In many cars it will be on a metal plate or sticker under the hood, either on the firewall, tie bar, or shock tower. In GMs they will have a 4 digit number preceded by a U, such as U9495 on a sticker which is either in the glove compartment or in the trunk under the spare tire cover. Even if you get a correct paint code, it will only be an approximate match to your car's exact color. In most cases, it will be an exact match or close match, but some colors, especially metallics and pearl colors, will have many variations for the same paint code.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOfXH

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Ordinarily one wouldn't use a VIN for anything, unless when looking for replacement parts, etc. Then you would be instructed to look at a certain digit(s) in the VIN. What specifically are you looking for?

First off you do not know? If the keyless entry is there you do not Know! if there is a Jack? Not knowing myself didn't the dealer show you all the options and how to work them? Got the car used no owners handbook. And do not what trim level and features yours has. This Question happenes where I work too. First ask other owners what there cars do join a car club on line to ask about features and how to work them and photo copy a owners hand book.
