I loved titanic but just saw Poseidon and they are both incredible!Please help me choose!

Poseidon Adventure (1972) was the better of the two movies for the simple reason Poseidon was all about the 10 central characters. The audience cared about all of them. Titanic focused mainly on the 2 leads. When a disaster movie is of such large proportions as these two films the audience must identify with all the characters in peril and share in their experience. Although Titanic was a great movie in it's own right it did not have the same compassion and understanding as Poseidon. We as an audience were not given the opportunity to care about all the victims & survivors of Titanic.

Both very different but I would have to choose Poseidon. I like the original one best.

they are so different...
one is a love story
the other one is about survival.
I would choose "Poseidon" just because I hated the fact that he died and that scene was so sad. Plus I am not into romantic movies anyway.
