Can I watch videos directly on iTunes?

I have no ipod with video capabilities, but I do have iTunes. Is it possible for me to purchase a video on iTunes and watch it directly on the computer, not on an iPod? I know that you can listen to the downloaded music directly on iTunes, but can you do the same with videos?

yes with podcasts, on itunes you can purchase them and watch right on your screen without an ipod
