MOST smokers are addicted to nicotine it is true, but on the flip side, the militant anti-smoking folks have been bombarding us for decades on all the evils of tobacco to the point of stretching the truth beyond all reason. Smokers and fat people...the last politically correct people it's still okay to joke about....what a fool, no self control, and blah, blah, blah. Tobacco has been used for centuries, and will continue to be. MOst smokers I've met also seem to be among the most intelligent, a paradox to be sure, but a fact nonetheless. Cigarettes are an addiction, just like marijuana or alcohol.Once you have smoked and have smoked for many years, the only way out is the patch for some. Candy for others, gum for many.And why they still smoke is the obvious it is an addiction.

yay nicotine. leave smokers alone. no one is really on people's backs for drinking and being addicted to popular culture so give smokers a break. jeeze. we already pay $4.50 for a pack. isn't that punishment enough :)

Some of us do it because we are hooked. Some us like it. Some of us are smokers and planning on quitting soon.

Smokers, smoke because it is a habbit same as an alcoholic drinks and a drug user uses drug..HABIT that is why.
