According to the law of conservation of mass, matter cannot be created nor destroyed.

Edit: Although, matter CAN change forms...you can convert matter from various states (solid to liquid to gas to plasma) BUT the matter itsself isn't destroyed, just altered.

Yes, in which case it turns into energy. That's what happens when you set off a nuclear bomb, or run a nuclear reactor.

However, you can't get rid of it completely. Once it's energy you can destroy that and make it back into matter, but short of quantum mechanics (which we have no control over), you can't make it just plain vanish.

Nothing in the entire world can ever be completely destroyed. Burned or hit with a nuclear weapon, it just turns to ashes. Eaten, just pooped right out again. See what I mean?

YES. The idea that matter can not be created or destroyed was disproved almost 100 years ago.

It can be converted into energy according to Einstein's famous formula: e = mc(squared).

It can also be annihilated by exposing it to anti-matter.

mater and energy can not be destroyed and or created, they can only be transformed and released in other shapes and means.

Yes. Matter can be "destroyed" meaning converted into energy. This is what powers nuclear fission and fusion reactions.

Matter can be converted to energy in a nuclear reaction but not in any regular chemical reaction.
