Why do men who are not impotent use viagra? Just found my partner of 6 years uses it occasionally...Why??? Is it excessive drinking, excessive 'smoking', or does it give a better male orgasm? Sorry for my naeivity but I'd love to know. No silly answers please as I don't know if I'm confused or angry....

i think a lot of men are anxious about their performance. They read that us women expect incredible sex and they are worried we might be disappointed.
I think its OK if your man uses viagra sometimes. It shows that he wants to make you happy and fulfilled.
If you don't like it, TELL him. Reassure him that you love HIM, and he doesn't need to be a stud.
If you really want to.
I think I would just be grateful that he wanted to be a good lover and ENJOY.

This might not directly answer your question but it answers in part or maybe just might hit the nail on the head in some ways.
It has become something that some guys do on a night out almost in a blokey "I can handle that" sort of thing - almost a replacement for a tequila slammer or something along those lines. I'm sure there could be a lot more scenarios added to that one but you might be starting to get the idea.
I suppose some people also use it because the have had a lot to drink too and want to remain able to perform but the thing is there are just so many reasons from person to person.
I don't think that it means that there is any answer other than asking him though and that is what you have to do.

they use it because either they needed, or,
they are confused with the hype of Viagra and think that it will
some how make the experience any better.
it is so accessible now that usually is the urge of trying something new.
if you don't need them, you will soon find out that the are worthless for you and the only thing that they do is mess up with your heart to maybe the point where it could be difficult to perform because of an accelerated heart rate, and the possibilities of a heart attack.
if your man hasn't felt that way maybe he needs them or any other similar drugs like cialis or levitra to stimulate and prolong the male er*ction. maybe because of a testosterone deficiency or something like that. doesn't make them a lesser man, unless he really doesn't need them and keep using them.

I think guys use it simply because they don't like the fact that they are impotent. I think most guys see it as a weakness. It's just a way of feeling more like a real man.

Seriously though, it's probably simply because he can and he thinks it will be better for him. Have you actually asked him if it makes him perform or feel better? Chances are, its simply recreational for him .... just like sucking a toffee .....
