Any good game recommendations?

I don't much care for RPG games.. I find them boring. Puzzle games (Tetris) are 'ok'.
I also don't care much for shooter games that would play better on PCs.. like Half-Life or Doom.

I like other games.. adventure games like the Mario games.
I like fighting games where it's got a very arcade-ish feel to it, it's quick, and fun.
I like racing games, cars-jetskis-snowboards-gokarts.. or whatever!

I'm open to suggestions!

- Mario Sunshine (platformer)
- Soul Calibur 2 (3D fighting)
- Super Monkey Ball 1/2 (puzzle/action)
- Resident Evil 4 (action)
- Metroid Prime 1/2 (First Person Shooter)
- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (adventure/RPG)

That's a good list to begin with. Can't help you on racing games, I've never been into them myself.

EDIT: Mario Kart Double Dash (racing) and Timesplitters 2 (FPS) are both great choices too. Animal Crossing is a great game but I doubt from your description that you'd enjoy it.

Totaly agree with you about RPGs. do you like air combat? if so then you will love star wars rogue leader. Rebel strike is ok its 2 player mode is awsome but the one player mode could be better.
star wars clone wars is good as well. Star fox adventures is ok but not great.
Happy gameing

The only game you should ever bother with on the Gamecube is the best one of all...

"Super Smash Brothers Melee"

Once you play that, you wont want to play anything else...

I'm not a shoot them up fan but I loved Serious Sam for the Gamecube. It's fun, fast and is anything but serious. If you just want bubble gum for the mind for an hour or two try it.
