There is a method called Ear Candling, also known as Ear Coning, that is the process of removing a build up of excess wax within the ears. Ear Candling is very safe. About one foot long, ear candles are made of natural fabric or paper rolled into a slender, hollow cone and dipped in wax.
Ear candling is used as a gentle, perfectly safe, and relaxing home remedy for cleaning the ears.

This was a remedy from my doctor years ago..we use it as a home treatment and it works for young and old. It is a 2 person job-you'll need to have someone do this for you (and you will need to get a few things...) 1. mix equal part hydrogen peroxide and mineral oil in a small cup and-using a child's medicine syringe-lay on your side and squirt the mixture into your ear 2. wait at least 15 minutes with your head on its side while the mixture breaks down all the wax 2. using warm water and hydrogen peroxide in equal mixture, rinse your ear out at least 5 times using a large medicine syringe ( I hold a small tupperware under my ear to catch the mess) you wont believe what comes out of your ear (and how well you can hear again!)

There is such thing as Candling. I've heard it's messy, but you could look how to do it on the web. No peroxide! That is not for putting in your ear! There is some ear wax remeber you can get at the store that is only about 2 bucks. Also if you went to a walk in clinic, they can get all of it out in about 10 mins.

Gently warm some baby oil or olive oil. Put a bit into the ear canal and plug it with a cotton ball over night. In the morning use an ear syringe to flush out the wax in the morning.

There is this little ear cleaner thing that you can get at many asian markets. It kinda looks like a teeny little spoon, just be really really careful. Also, if you go to a doctor, they can remove it. Oh, and if you have any in the area, a homeopathist or natural doctor can do ear candling for you, they light this cone shaped candle thing and it creates a suction that pulls the wax out.

Good Luck!

If it is not that bad I usually just dip the Q-tip directly into the peroxide to clean my ears. But if it's really bad try flushing it out with about a 70/30 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water, use a dropper to put some in your ear, let it sit for a few minutes then turn your head and let it drain out. Once drained clean with a Q-tip. It may take a few treatments (but only once per day).

We used to use Peroxide, you place a little bowl below your ear and pour peroxide in your ear, let it set for about a minute, and tilt your head over the bowl, works well. Use a little rubber suction squeegee too, they sell them in the drugstore. Never put anything deep into the ear canal.

You can call a doctor an ask about this, it is safe.

PGA - Pure Grain Alcohol (Everclear) & Glycerin in a 50/50 mix. Use an eye dropper to drop enough drops in several times a day at first. Then once it is under control, back off to once or twice per week. The Glycerin loosens the wax and the PGA dries it up.

Tilt you head sideways and flush you ear with clean water then turn to the other side and do the other ear. This is the best way to keep them clean. However, if it is excessive, it could be your body reaction to something inside your ear such an object or an infection. If that's the case, please see a doctor immediately.
