I would guess that small retailers such as grocery stores, bars, and gas stations get the most. The have things that people must have and bad check writers are bound to target those people without technological ways of stopping them.

Not sure which industry...but if you want more informaton about protecting your rights...check-out this website...it has a host of free information on bad check laws. Also has a paid subscribers area that can help creditors get paid when they are holding bad checks...
