In a few hours, I am driving to Thessaloniki, from Athens! No special plans! Should I visit Xanthi to attend the Old City Festival? Will Thessaloniki and Halkidiki be enough?

Well, I have been in Thessaloniki and Xanthi! Beautiful cities! It is worth visiting and waking up there (better in suburbs than in the center!)
Halkidiki is beautiful year around! How long are you staying? Enjoy! Festival in Xanthi finishes on Sunday, I think!

This is fine! This time of the year, Thessaloniki is excellent! Don't forget to attend some events relative to "Demetria"! Celebrations to the honor of Goddess Demeter (= Mother Earth!)!
Xanthi is nice! Make some good friends there and enjoy!

What do you think? Can you see only these two cities in that amazing area?
Xanthi, Old city festival is nice but I don't think that you like it, except live concerts. See the program first.
If you visit Xanthi, don't miss Nestos river (that amazing ecological treasure) or Thassos island.
