Ohhhh...

It took me a while.

Yeah, horsie, don't joke at interviews. The interviewer might not get it and get in a bad mood b/c you stumped him/her. Or just might not like the joke--or worse--like the girl above me said, they'll think you're nervous and are thus resorting to telling jokes.

Do not use jokes at interviews unless you are interviewing for a position as a commedian. Jokes show a lack of professionalism. I would not hire someone who told a joke at the beginning of their interview. It would make me think, "Hmmm, are they trying to hide their inefficiencies by telling jokes"? Not a good idea for interviews, but a good idea to tell jokes to friends and family.

If you're interviewing for an office job, don't tell the joke. Some bosses are prudes.

Personally, I loved it.

No stupid jokes at interviews if you are being interviewed. If you are the interviewer, use stupid jokes only when you've determined the interviewee won't be hired, but you need to fill some time.

unless the job is for stand up comedy I wouldn't tell any jokes. What kinds of jobs are you applying for?

That's dumb. It was on a commercial a while back. "Two guys walk into a bar. It was a metal bar, and it hurt."
