Different people gain different amounts of weight during pregnancy, and they gain the weight at different times during pregnancy. Which could lead to people telling you your so small because they gained more weight than you did earlier than you did. And vice versa for the people telling you your big. Another reason is some women carry their baby higher in the abdomen while others carry it lower in the abdomen. This can lead to different "size"looks when pregnant depending on the location of the fetus. Another reason is that some people have no idea what you should look like at 22 weeks of pregnancy, so they say what they think, but have no basis for why they said it.

This is an endless question. I have the same thing happen to me. I am 29 weeks pregnant and I get "you can't have long to go now" all of the time. Or "Are you sure you are only having one?". It just peoples way of trying to be involved in evolution I think. I have learnt to just laugh with them and curse when they leave LOL. Things don't change when the baby comes. Everyone will have an opinion on the way your baby advances also. So keep your chin up and as long as you are happy with yourself and eventually the baby then it really doesn't matter what other people say. GOOD LUCK & BEST WISHES

Because different people have different opinions. What's important is that your healthy and your doctor thinks your weight is fine. Don't worry about what anyone says...I know for some reason when a woman is pregnant people just feel like they have to say stuff like..."Oh my gosh your huge"...or "Oh my gosh your so big"...with out thinking about how we the pregnant woman is already feeling image wise...because I was one of those people before I got pregnant...lol.. So ignore them....And congratulations!

Maybe they're being "kind"? I'm a bigger gal, and I think people tell me what they think I want to hear!
My husband used to say, "no you don't look pregnant at all, honey" which infuriated me, because I felt huge. My best friend tells me I look very pregnant, but skinnier than I did the last time I was pregnant.
Whatever! I feel like a beached whale!

As your pregnancy progresses this will happen:
When your baby is moving around in there your stomach
becomes different shapes. The butt of the baby will make you look
really big and by the afternoon or end of the day you usually will look bigger do to water build up in your body.

Don't listen to them. People always say I look small. I'm 38 weeks now and I have gained over 50 pounds. I don't feel small.

Because some people would have seen bigger people at 22 weeks where as others would have seen smaller.

I get the same thing, some people think I'm having twins and others think i still got months to go. I think people just THINK they know everything!

because people talk rubbish and say stuff just for the sake of opening their big gobs!!!!
Plus will depend the way the baby is lying how u lookk!
