My daughter had it too. Here is the best way to treat it.

Dont wash the affected areas with soap that will only irritate the skin. I gave my daughter baths in Aveno Oatmeal Bath. The oatmeal will absorb the dirt and clean just as good as soap. Then I would apply Aveno sensitive skin lotion all over body (cetaphil is also bery good). Put the lotion on a lot during the day so it doesnt get a chance to get itchy and irritatted. It worked for my daughter. Hope it helps

You will want to check with dermatologist schooled in pediatrics first, but you might want to try Noxzema, which derived its name from "knocks eczema." It is relatively cheap and easy to apply.

A&D Ointment can work wonders too. I had a bad skin rash as a kid. No perscriptioin meds worked, but the A&D did the trick. IT is a bit messy, but it seems to be a miracle balm when many others do not work.

There's stuff called Little Doc's for eczema and sensitive skin baby wash and cream, also Gentle Naturals baby wash and lotion. I gave you a link for those products. I had to stop using soap on my son's face for awhile and just washed it with water. Then put baby oil on it and it cleared it up. Another thing that works is Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Healing lotion. It's relatively cheap and it works great for all kinds of dry skin. It's what I use for my eczema. It even heals chapped lips.

Eczema is a manifestation of a weak immune system. My 20 month old son had it and I got him a food source multi-vitamin/mineral supplement at a health food store and he hasn't had it since. That was 5 months ago.

There is a "natural ingredient" cream called "baby eczema cream" it's a bit pricey but seems to be pretty effective for the babies. Many people in my family (including myself) have eczema & the cream even seems to work on the adults. Here's a link that shows what the product looks like. Hope this helps.

i don't know if that's good for toddlers too, but a lot of older children and adults find relief bathing in salt water. there are proprietary packs of dead sea salt on the market that you just pour into the bath water. you might also want to check his diet, with a lot of kids there is a food intolerance involved.

Oatmeal and water made into a paste...you cake it on and leave it. Hard part is to keep them from eating it..but it is safe. You can also add oatmeal to the bath and soak in it. Pretty cool stuff!
