the goats milk/water mix works great. we have raised many squirrels on that formula. As the babies get older, mix more water and less milk. I recommend not using a heating pad. Instead, fill a 20 ounce soda bottle with hot tap water and cover it with a sock doubled over. That way, it they get too warm, they can move away from the heat source.

Years ago my dad bought baby formula and mixed it with half goats milk to feed a baby jack rabbit after he accidentally killed it with the combine on his buddy's farm. but now you can buy animal baby formula in bottles in some pet stores. I'm sure you could call a farm and ask about incubators for chickens etc... some of those farmers are pretty smart and might be able to tell you how to make one! Good Luck with the Squirrels

you can buy animal formula at wal-marts and feed stores. you can buy either pre mixed version or the cheaper powdered kind. It will give all instructions on the side. Also for a make shift incubater try getting a heat lamp (with red bulb) and placing it above your squirrels. Make sure not to place it to close as you could over warm them and they will get dehydrated. Also you could get a small incubater at a feed shop for around 30 to 50 dollars. Good luck!!!!

I actually used to volunteer for Wildlife rehab. I used puppy formula. Give them baby food and fresh fruits and veggies, and sunflower seeds once they start walking around.
