My starting weight was 100 pounds. I am now 38 weeks preg. and weigh 151 pounds. It's alot of work carrying all of this weight around. I work in retail and do alot of walking. At the end of the night my ankles and feet are so swollen I have to do this stomping thing just to walk.

How do you think children can get pregnant Some patients that I have seen have only been in the 60-70 pound range! Your body will be able to handle it as long as the baby grows you will gain weight.

A petite woman will not have a baby larger than she can carry. I know a skinny girl who had a 10 lb. baby naturally. If the baby is too big, then a c-section will be performed - often the case for petite women.

If she is naturally a short person, then this is natural for her and it is likely she will just carry a slightly smaller sized child, or else possibly need a c-section. Plus she is bound to put on weight during the pregnancy, which will help.

I know a few women that were that thin when they got pregnant and had healthy babies. If a woman is short, like under 5 feet tall, about 95 pounds is what she should weigh.

Ah yeah---
My neighbor is the mother of FOUR and she is that size--- she's a gymnast and she is just naturally tiny. She delivered normally, her babies were of average size and she breastfed all 4 with no problems.
I'm 5'8" so I feel really tall around her & it's funny to note that my skinny, athlete 12 yr old daughter wieighs more than she does...
