It doesn't really matter where you are sitting.Just before the game starts go down to the dugout and I'm sure there will be someone who signs.

I know for sure in Atlanta the Braves will always sign. Go to the players parking lot about 3-4 hours before the game. It is on the 3rd base side. There are about 10-15 people there normally and most of the players will talk to you and sign and such.

I know that there are a few other stadiums like that but during the game I don't know too much. Get there early and get by the dugout. If you familiarize yourself with some of the players and know them by number, call them over as they head back to the dugout after jogging and stretching. Once one or two come over a few more will come and sign.

Stand right next to the dugout if possible and if not stand as close to it but make sure you are in the front row of standing people. Dont gather behind other people because it is likely players wont see the stuff you want them to sign.

For the Phillies stadium...you'll have to move to the 3rd base line behind the visiting team's dugout if you want an autograph...depends on the team, most sign...

Autographs tend to be easier to get on the road. Call the player "Mr. ...." as opposed to just their last name, or their first name... many do not appreciate that.

"Please" "thank you" and "excuse me" are phrases that certainly do not hurt. It also depends upon what time they open the gates, and if it is a day game after a night game, etc.

Good luck... and have fun!

most teams have an "open" session before the game where you can go down to the dugout. If the usher gives you a hard time, ask for his/her supervisor.

Definitely be there during batting practice.

It also helps a lot if you know the players names. They are more likely to listen to you if you are polite and know who they are.
