Burnout 3 conistantly works, so does Max Payne 2, but other games, new ones and perfect, unscrached games won't work 9 out of 10 times, telling me the disk is dirty or even telling me that I need to put the disk in an XBOX, IT'S IN AN XBOX ALREADY!!! I've just replaced the laser element and it didn't really make a change for the better. I have about 20 games that are unplayable, thankfully I really like Burnout 3 because it ALWAYS works, so don't tell me it's a dirty lens.

these are XBOX games in an XBOX v1.0, I'm trying to get an answer to fix this problem, buying a different system is not an answer, if that's all you have to say, then don't you don't have an answer.

This xbox is unmodded, and the games are store bought and disks are in perfect condition.

okay, it sounds like you've bought a faulty xbox, i have one and it's never said that to me. I think that what you need to do is take it back to where you got it from and get a replacement for free, hope you still hav the reciept! It might be that burnout 3 is quite an old game and the new ones won't work on it. i reckon u hav a faulty element, but burnout 3's old so it'll still work.

If you've cleaned the laser lens and you're using original games, not pirate copies, I don't know what to tell you, except what you don't want to hear: might be time for a new Xbox. Check eBay for a cheap one.

make sure it's not for 360 I returned a 360 game that didn't work and she made sure I had a 360 , she said some people mix up 360 and original games without realizing it

It's the Xbox, you need a new one. Might as well buy a 360 while you're at it.
