Having a job seems to be a good way to make friends, especially if you have a job in a large company. I didn't have many friends right out of high school because I'd just moved. I didn't know anyone, but I got a job at the biggest grocery store in town, and I had all kinds of people to choose from. I suggest going to different business, grocery stores, retail shops, restaurants, etc, and picking a place to apply where there are lots of people your age.

Also, being in school helps, too. You can take just one class, and not only will you get to meet people, but you'll get college credit for it, too!

At 19, there aren't very many ways to just meet folks out of the blue, unless you just walk up to folks, but that's just plain weird. Well, not to me, but most people shy away from that kind of boldness.

So, go to college or get a job at a large company. You don't have to stay in the job, especially if you don't end up liking it. Just use it to your advantage.

Are you in school? Try joining an organization. Or volunteer for a cause that interests you. Network! I know how you feel, but no one is going to come knocking on your door. Use the Internet to find a service organization that interests you and volunteer for something. You'll meet people. Network with them to find out what is going on in your community. Only you can end your isolation.
Good luck and God bless you.

Take some kind of class. Band, Theatre, Music, Dance, Art, etc. Anything u like. Then not only will you meet people, but you'll have the same interests.
Or if u don't mind, go to penpal websites like penpalsnow.com, and write what kind of penpals you'd like. Where they live, they're age, you pick.

Yes, all alone, by yourself.

Lights low, incense burning, just the right kind of music in the background. . .a little alcohol, not too much, for as Shakespeare said, that as it increases the desire, it decreases the ability.

Take your time.
