If you ever mention you're a homosexual to anyone, they're going to automaticly think of anal sex and be discusted at you! (I hope some people arn't like it, but it seems the majority of the people ARE like it, at least some of the idiots I've seen on this site!)
Did anyone else notice that, is frustrated it, etc. etc. etc.?

Oh yeah, and on flamboyant personalities, people have the right to act however they want, and if you feel that they're threatening your sexuality, it only proves that you arn't secure in your own sexuality. I personally don't like flamboyant attitudes, but I'm pretty sure not all people who are flamboyant are bad people.
People are pretty damn diverse.

I think that there are still a lot of straight people out there who have never gotten to know a gay person or two. They may have met them, worked with them or whatever, but never gotten to know them.
Most straight people don't even know what kind of sex their straight friends or coworkders go in for, but they know the most sensational thing about homosexuals is that some of us sometimes go for anal sex! They know more about us from dirty jokes and porn magazines than they do about us in real life.
But you know, the more straight people get to know us, the more they like us, or at least stop hating us, or even laughing at us.
PS: There's some good stuff in the Bible too. 6 verses about abusive homosexual sex acts, and about 1600 about God's unconditional love. Go figure.

Because, until very recently, most American's only view of homosexuals was in the media and the media usually only showed the most outrageous homosexuals. Well, even today, I bet any new coverage of a gay pride parade will show the West Hollywood Cheerleaders and the Dykes on Bikes...

This is why I could not identify as Gay! I am not flamboyant, I am not in to anal sex and I am not into fems or into acting effeminate. I think it is awful that that is the only things that people think about the gay community. I am g0y and you have hit on the reason why that fits me better than gay.

I don't believe in the bible..please don't go insane..but I agree with you on that remark.
I don't know about your question...I think maybe the media has a lot to do with it..I mean when you see footage of a gay parade..what do you see?--the outrageousness...not the ordinary everyday people who are invisible to the straights...We who ARE gay know this...but I have told people that I'm gay and they think I'm kidding...because I guess I don't "act it"--whatever that means....My late father-in-law was straight and a great fighter for gay rights (I'm Canadian--I married his son)..and as he said in a newspaper article he wrote.....'who cares what they do in bed'.....

I know Gays and Lesbians of all flavors, and I love all the variety. I don't believe any one of them is better (or worse) than any of the others.

haha i know the bible quotes are getting pretty monotonous. i don't know..it is ridiculous. like all the questions about sodomy lately, people assume it is a term for gay sex. yet if you look it up....sodomy describes ANYONE who has anal sex.
i guess people just automatically hate what they don't understand.

It is simply ignorance. Pure and simple. When I came out to my family and friends, there were so many of them that were like "Wow you don't act gay" I thought that was so funny!
