Illegal: Go back to where you came from
Legal: Welcome to my home.

Illegal ANYTHING speaks for itself. In definition, it means "forbidden by law or statute." Forbidden! Meaning not allowed. Meaning bad. Very bad.

My view is that we should close the borders ASAP! You want to get into this country, you can go through the proper channels AND BE WELCOMED! Anybody who wants to come in through a back door (sneaking in) should not expect any benefits provided by the system for CITIZENS (social security, medical care, driver's license, reduced tuition in college, etc, etc, etc, etc. At the very least, the border needs to be secured for national security reasons which include drug and weapon smuggling, terrorists, and criminals fleeing into our county!

For those already here illegally - I do believe we should give a chance to make legal. All illegals must step up voluntarily to become legal under whatever program is offered - however, If you don't and are caught - back home you must go! Children of illegal aliens, who are not born in this country, likewise are not citizens of this country themselves and should not be an excuse for illegal immigrant parents to stay!

For politicians who see all these pro-illegal immigrant rallies - IGNORE THEM! THEY ARE NOT CITIZENS, THEY DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER TO THEM! Politicians however do have to answer to Natural Born and Naturalized U.S. Citizens like myself! Secure the border - particularly for the sake of national security, and give those already here a fair chance to intigrate into society and earn their stay!

Migrant workers, and other LEGAL immigrants - NOTHING HAS BEEN DIRECTED AT YOU - YOUR RIGHTS ARE NOT / WILL NOT be taken away! There is a distinction between you and those who are not documented. You have absolutely NOTHING to worry about, so please stop sticking up for the illegals who refuse to follow the laws set up to govern this country!!

They parade around declaring they are not criminals. The instant they crossed our border illegally, they became criminals. They should be given the option to become a citizen and serve in our military. I am very disappointed in our Government supporting "Illegals" with Medical, Welfare, Housing, Police and Fire, Schooling, etc., and they work menial jobs for Cash (no taxes). Anyone caught hiring Illegals should be assessed a hefty fine for each Illegal working for him. I didn't hire a couple of them to mow my yard because they could not prove citzenship. Our crime rate has increased by 36% ever since some local companys began hiring massive amounts of Mexicans.

Illegal immigrants .... They are people. They are looking for peace. Although I am all against the whole idea but I would never wish them to be deported as they look for help. Imagine that they will loose everything in their previous lives. They have broken all the bridges behind them. For what? Of course for a better life which they could not expect in their own country ....

I think they should be required to come here legally. Im not for mass deportation, but these people are criminals, regardless of why they are here. "They only want a better life" isnt an excuse to break the law. I do agree that the system is broken, and we need to find a faster way for people to obtain citizenship legally, but I still think there should be fines and work permits for those that are not here legally.

I have illegal immigrant friends living somewhere close to me but I can't tell everyone where we are. They don't want to go back.

It depends on why they are in the country they have immigrated to and it depends also upon their characters and their attitude to the people who live in that country legally.

Open the borders to allow all visitors not meeting the terrorist profile and let them work and stay as they please. When the work runs out the exodus from Mexico will taper off. There may in fact be as big an exodus in the other direction eventually.

People are people - we share the same continent and should not have to be relegated to a particular area simply because this has been the historical practice.

I love mexicans and think they should be able yo come to the US to get a better chance. I love it here and I think we should share this great country with other unfortunate people. We are all equal.
