Don't worry, things are probably fine. I felt that way too. The first feelings I felt was like someone drawing on the inside of my uterus with a pin. Also, if your placenta is on the front, it will take longer for you to feel the baby. Try and drink some really cold water, and go lie down, relax, and see what you can feel. Good luck, in 3 more weeks, you will feel lots of real kicks.

You may have already felt your baby move and not recognize. The first little movements are just a little twinge and feel like tiny bubbles popping (just above your pelvic bone).

I think I was around the same number of weeks you are when I got the same nervousness. Once the movements got more obvious I realized I had been feeling them for 2 or 3 weeks. Don't worry - In a couple months your new little person will be giving your bladder & ribs a workout!!

Don't worry. It is not unusual for you to not feel the baby move yet. No 2 pregnancies are exactly alike, and even if there are people you know who felt their babies move earlier, that does not mean that your baby is not fine. I am sure that if you are concerned enough to be nervous that you have begun prenatal care, and your practitioner has heard the heartbeat by now.

Try not to be so nervous. Keep your appointments, take care of yourself, eat well, and follow your Dr.'s advice, then trust yourself. Twenty-one is not so soon to start a family. You are still young enough to enjoy the energy of a little, and hopefully mature enough not to be overwhelmed by the responsibility. Talk with other women who have Had children, but stop them if they start telling their personal "horror stories from the pregnancy, labor, and delivery". Try to surround yourself with positive people.

You ususally don't feel the first one until about 6 months. I am sure your doctor has checked the heart beat and everything is fine. Take a deep breath and enjoy the baby not kicking. Eventually you will say why did I want the kicking it hurts. Good Luck.

So you are almost 5 months? I think it can go as long as 5 1/2 months for a frst time mom to feel her baby.
You should have allready had a dr. appointment to hear the heartbeat right?

I am also having my first and did not feel strong movement until about 25 weeks. You are probably feeling small flutters and just not realizing it! As long as the doc says everything is ok...you're fine!

I wouldn't be too worried. Some babies progess slower then others. I know when I was pregnant I didn't feel my baby move until week 22. If you are really worried about it, ask your doctor.

Some babies move sooner than others. You should check with your doctor & have an ultrasound done just to make sure that everything is ok.
