to better understand our own. With the knowledge of other cultures we can compare ourselves to others and better understand those things that we have in common, such as the universal knowledge of right and wrong and property ownership, even if it is only a goat.
We can also learn about what makes us different, and how those differences came to be, again to better understand ourselves.
