This would depend on the politics and economics of the university or college.

Fraternities may get special treatment at a school, especially if the University President is a fraternity alumni.

Otherwise this is an old campus about, "to go Greek or not?" Them vs. Us

I believe that there is a little bit of special treatment for both men in fraternities and women in sororities when they are in the same group as someone in power at the school and they make it known to that person.

What do you mean by special treatment? If you mean do the members of the fraternity get extra time for assignments and opportunities to re-schedule exams, etc. NO, they do not.

Frats and Sororities may get special treatment when it comes to scheduling rooms and activities on campus. They are active groups on campus and use university facilities. They may get special treatment that way.

I hope my answers help a little.

Nope!

The only special treatment I get is the administration is watching over the fraternity more than the sports teams...Sadly the sports teams have the most hazing and get all the special treatment

They didn't in Nacogdoches. Most that wound up in jail were Political Science and Criminal Justice majors who thought they knew more than the police.

They were mistaken.

Good times.
