Maybe they were not meant to be put in the dryer. One way to lengthen them may be to take down the hem. Other than that, get new ones and pay attention to the laundry instructions.

No they won't be significantly longer. If you want to stop them from shrinking the key is hanging clothing items to dry1

when you iron out all the wrinkles they will be a liyyle longer, but only 1/10 of an inch or so

They could if it's a loose weave and you are pressing them by hand, but they will also get smaller around.

Probably, just never dry them in a drier. Hang them out in the sun, or over you treadmill when not in use.
