How do you know when to call it quits?

I've been in a relationship with a guy for about two and a half years. You know how married couples are stuck with each other, so they just try to make it work? Well, is it worth doing it when you're not even married? We used to fit together so well, and I love him. We fight constantly over stupid things, mostly because he's unhappy with his life, and it's taking it's toll. He says he loves me, but he doesn't show it. I feel like I put so much into this relationship, yet he just doesn't have that spark for me anymore.

Well if you're sure he's not "sparking" for someone else, you'll need to communicate to him how you feel. Be honest and tell him everything...You said he is not happy with his life...well you are a part of his life -what is it you are doing to keep him happy? Love is more than words and if he's not going to make an effort to show you, then he simply doesn't need to be wasting anymore of your time. You're not married and it's my belief that every person has a mate out there that will forever want, lust, crave, desire, and need them with every fiber of their being...if it's not that kind of love...walk away and find what your missing. I'm not telling you that you should be selfish...I'm simply attempting to inform you that you deserve not to be neglected...we all do!

I would sit down with him and tell him how you feel. Tell him what changes you would like to see in order for you to keep on in this relationship. If you both can agree to do things a bit differently and are both willing to try, then do it. Otherwise, move on.

If you or your man can look at each other and see a future without the other then I believe that is the point at which you say enough. Good luck.
