millions keep their jobs ONLY because it provides them healthcare, how does this increase productivity?...it doesnt. they would take another job if they didnt lose their healthcare, making that job available to someone who's actually interested in that work.

I think you are putting the cart before the horse. Employers offer insurance in order to attract employees. Very few people work a job just for the healthcare. If some of these jobs did not offer a comprehensive benefit package, they would not be able to hire anyone.

Besides, you have all these winer babies that think that health care is somehow free, and a right, so what would they do?

well... they are varied levels of health care and varied costs...

most companies don't provide it totally anymore, because it's too expensive... so they pay some and you pay some... and it's just going to get worse...

the stupid thing is... it is basically a tax.. you have to pay it, it's not well regulated, there is tons of waste in the system and little competition...

and those that don't have insurance still get care, which they default on, because they can't pay for it... and healthcare goes up again for everyone... and a few more people can't afford it... and the cycle gets worse...

it's broken... it's only going to get worse...

but hey... "move along, nothing to see here"... right?

Most people cannot afford the cost of individual health policies these days. It's not a matter of productivity, but rather one of survival!
